Established in 1997, the Australian Butler School trains students in residential and estate management. The aim of the school is to provide first class professionals to fill positions in private residences, diplomatic establishments and resorts and on mega-yachts and cruise ships. Because we are job focused, we are selective of course participants. The qualities we look for are commitment to service, management expertise, an eye for detail, personal presentation and the temperament to handle the varied and demanding tasks associated with this profession. A background in hospitality or service is advantageous. A sense of humour essential! Our students come from all over the world and go to positions all around the world.

We place emphasis on the psychology of working in private service which is entirely different to any other employment environment and the Australian Butler School teaches skills and provides tools to ensure a career in this special industry is successful and rewarding.

In addition to the residential butler school, we conduct courses for hotel, spa and resort butlers which can be delivered on site and tailored to specific requirements.

We train stewards in the Australian Defence Force and house staff for diplomatic posts.
